DALE Allitt is warning his King’s Lynn riders to expect a tough test when Premiership newcomers Rye House visit on Good Friday (7.30).

The Rockets have assembled an impressive side including former Grand Prix stars Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls.

Boss Allitt reckons they will be harder to break down than Somerset last week when a bumper crowd saw the Stars, backed by Trucks R Us, run out comfortable 53-37 winners.

He said: “Not only do they have a team full of experience but they also have a team full of riders who always seem to go well here at the Adrian Flux Arena!

“Chris Harris, Scotty Nicholls, Davey Watt have all been there and done it and on his last few visits, Edward Kennett has been extremely good value for money too.

“But what I’m trying to get through to our riders this year is to focus on themselves. Yes it’s good to know what your opponents are going to bring to the table, but ultimately if you concentrate on your own thing then you should never really fear anyone.”

Fans are once again urged to turn out in force and can buy tickets in advance to avoid the wait at the turnstiles. Call 01553 771111.

The club’s souvenir programme carries a column from Allitt, a feature interview with in-form Troy Batchelor, a two page spread on club legend Terry Betts, Presenter Gavin Caney’s thoughts and the all-important racecard – plus loads more. ‘The Star’ is on sale at the stadium for £2.50.
